MICRO MIRACLE FOUNDATION
Our beautiful healthy boy Andrew was born on the 10 March 2011. His development was on track and we had a happy thriving family of four. Then on the 27 October 2013, our worlds were turned upside down with Andrew having his first generalized convulsive seizure. The plethora of tests ensued and Andrew was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of epilepsy called Doose Syndrome, or otherwise known as Myoclonic Astatic Epilepsy (MAE). This is one of the three worst forms of epilepsies, which heartbreakingly, does not respond to medication. On top of a multitude of daily seizures, Andrew has recently been diagnosed with a genetic disorder causing cognitive delay and sits on the Autistic Spectrum Disorder. He is such an incredibly brave boy, with his zest for life and infectious laughter and smile being all inspiring. He truly is a treasured gift from God.
