On 16 July 2013 Luke got his 1st seizure. He was only 14 weeks old when he was admitted for his 1st seizure and stayed in hospital for a very long 9months. Half this time was spend in ICU. He has been a true little fighter. He had 2 lumber punches, MRI's, countless EEG's, hundreds of blood tests and so the list goes on. He also had some serious hospital super bugs, a total of about 10. He had pneumonia 9 times during his stay in hospital, and also lost all his milestones and his ability to swallow or suck his dummy. We were told that he will most probably die before the age of 2. But we refuse to accept that and did everything in our power to prove the doctors wrong!

To me it was very clear that western medication can't fix my child and I started researching alternative medication. He is on lots of homeopathic medication for his immune. We also started him on superfoods which has made the biggest improvement in his health and seizures. When Luke came home after the 9 months in hospital nothing could prepare us for this new life. He was on oxygen and was on a A4 page full of meds and was having 100's of seizures every week. It was an absolute nightmare, physically and emotionally draining. We didn't think we would ever see the end of this horrible nightmare. Now our boy is of oxygen and he has got his head control back and he can almost sit by himself and he started eating food by mouth and his saying a couple of words. We made the choice to wean him of his meds, we are halfway there and his seizures has come down to under 10 a day. He has some days where he doesn't even have a seizure, but this rarely happens.

We do daily therapy at home and weekly physio and OT. My dream is to see my boy seizure free and walking, we still have a long way to go!
